ITIL and System Center for Better Service Management

The Link Between System Center & ITIL®

ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) is synonymous with Service Management and has transformed IT departments worldwide for decades. It is the most widely adopted approach to IT Service Management in the world and is applicable to IT departments of any size. The ITIL Service Lifecycle approach and best practices have been proven successful time and time again, but knowing what those best practices are and being able to execute them is another matter.

That’s where System Center from Microsoft comes in. A major component of System Center is Service Manager, which offers the manageability of many crucial areas of ITIL, such as Incident and Problem Management, Change and Release Management, and overall Service Management with Service Level Agreements.

Without the correct tool to carry out your ITIL strategy, you might be left with a lot of good ideas and no way to carry them out. With the strong set of tools available in Service Manager, Microsoft’s System Center can make your ITIL vision a reality.
