4 REASONS TO OBTAIN CISCO TRAINING

The Value of Cisco Training and Certification

Those currently in an IT career have seen their industry change rapidly over the past year, and the technology sector will likely continue to shift into 2016. While many companies are influencing the marketplace, perhaps none has as big of an impact as Cisco.

Obtaining Cisco training is already very important, and IT career hopefuls should seek out related certifications for these four reasons:

1. To Become More Familiar with the Internet of Things (IoT)
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects accessed through the Internet, as defined by technology analysts and visionaries. These objects contain embedded technology to interact with internal states or the external environment. In other words, when objects can sense and communicate, it changes how and where decisions are made, and who makes them. The basic premise behind this idea is that businesses can make operations far more efficient if every possible item is connected to the Internet and can feed information into central databases. For example, if a door was connected to the Web, a property owners could determine how often that door was opened. Cisco has long championed IoT, ensuring that Cisco training will continue to be important in the years to come.

2. To Be Better Prepared to Deal with Mobile Devices
Smartphones and tablets have already led to dramatic changes in enterprise computing, and chances are that shift will continue unabated in 2016. The number of PCs sold recently has been dropping, ZDNet reported, and the number of smartphones, tablets and wearable devices will be steadily rising in the coming years. Still, this technology will need a robust support infrastructure, which is where Cisco training comes in.

“The PC market is projected to continue its decline in the years ahead, as more and more people spend more of their time on mobile devices rather than second PCs and many consumers and non-desk workers simply opt for mobile devices instead of PCs,” ZDNet contributor Jason Hiner wrote.

3. To Have More Knowledge on Next-Gen Collaboration Technology
According to CIOL.com, technology will continue to underpin the communication and collaboration initiatives many businesses undertake in the coming year. While telephones and email currently dominate this market, soon that hegemony will be broken by videoconferencing, presence and unified communications. Cisco training, in addition to Microsoft certification courses for products like Microsoft SharePoint, will be key for anyone in an IT career that wants to keep these next-generation communication systems running smoothly.

4. To Understand the Future of Networking
In order to make sure systems like cloud computing and videoconferencing are running smoothly, businesses will likely need to upgrade their IT networks to handle the higher workloads. IT professionals will likely need to obtain Cisco CCNA certification in order to get a job working on this kind of support architecture.
